Websites I love

Ive linked many things in my blog, all pointing to various sites that I use or have found helpful items on. Maybe it would be a good place to start to have them all in one place so if anyone fancies it they can scoot over and have a look for themselves.

If I don't know what the fuck something is or how to get it: Wowhead
A vast resource. Mainly used by me if I don't know where to find something as most items have had some insanely helpful person put tom-tom coordinates on there for us lazy people.

For those lore questions on Timeless Isle: Wowpedia
I have no idea what undead Murlocs are called, luckily, they do...

When I want to stalk the person who KEEPS GANKING MEEEE!: Wow eu
I get satisfaction from knowing who the hell the person is and then cursing their name and guild.

To keep tabs on how awesome my guild is: Wow Progress
Because everyone wants to know how great we are (gogo RT1!)

To see how the best players are going and how to be as good as them: World of Logs
You can find out all sorts of information from here, a great way of seeing how the best players do it.

Professions help for farming and levelling it: Wow Professions
Need to know where the best place is to farm Netherweave? How many stacks of black trillium ore you will need? this is the place to go. Saved me a fortune as usually I would be too lazy to farm if I didn't know exactly where to go to get the best farming results.

HUNTER PETS!!!!!: Petopia
This is where I go to drool over all the pets I want, you can see stats for them and find out what pets you should be looking for to get the buffs you want to.

Pokémon Companion pets: Warcraft Pets
Easily see comments on how to get these and see other peoples collections.

Guides for playing: Noxxic Icy Veins MMO Champion
All kinds of information on here, endless amounts of knowledge for noob and pros alike.

Place for the Huntards to feel at home: Huntsmans Lodge
Put your feet up under that beautiful mounted head of a Shadowhorn Stag and trade tips.

Getting excited for Garrosh

RT1 have been kicking ass in SoO and we have been avidly watching the action thanks to Aska and his Twitch stream. So looking forward to seeing The Royal Jesters out on top (boo-hiss 'Last Try')

We already had a look at the end cinematics for Horde and Alliance that were linked in the guild forum.

So, after that we don't have any surprises for the end of it but we are so looking forward to RT1 topping the list for this and then watching them make their way into heroics.

Watching them progress through 10man normal has inspired the rest of us. We have so many options open for us in this patch; LFR, Flex, Normal and Heroic. which gives us more ways to earn loot and more ways to have fun!

Flex by far is the best thing thats happened in my opinion. The ability to have any number of players with you is so refreshing. The amount of times that there has been more than enough for a 10 man online but not enough for a 25 means that people do sometimes end up feeling left out or frustrated that they don't get a chance to raid. You do need your wits about you but its a fantastic way to learn to play together and bond as a guild (awwww) it's provided lots of loot for us and also been a great learning curve for us to.

With the second part of LFR opening up soon we are getting in all the practice and loot we can get!

Not only is it helping with us working as a team (which can be difficult as we don't always have a regular team online and its often filled with backups or members from other guilds) but its proving us in good stead for the rest of ToT, which everyone is slowly working through. Tortois was the one we had a bash at last night after we gave the SoO a rest, probably not the best idea when everyone was tired but we gave it a bloody good go. Had to give up after a while as people needed to leave and such forth but we are making progress!

Its going to be interesting when we eventually gear up for us to take on SoO in 10 man normal... FOR THE ALLIANCE!!!

Dps woes

I After careful consideration I decided that I needed to do something about my dps. I wasn't able to hit over the 100k mark which was sucking large amounts of balls. I'd used a website that instructed me to change some reforging but I wasn't convinced about the results. Monknessa had been helped by a guild member called Verdie to help sort out her healing. She had helped Monknessa no end so I thought I would be a fool not to ask her for advice. She has 14 level 90's spread out over a few realms and she's currently RT1 tank.

She looked at my gear which had to keep being reforged due to new bits dropping and suggested we try the training dummy to see what my dps was after cooldowns. After starting out well I dropped off to 88k which wasnt bad for my Marksman spec but I had a lot more potential. After asking if I was happy with my dps (to which I said no) she asked if I wouls be prepared to swap. She suggested Survival as I had Beast Mastery as my off spec. After a bit more reforging, I got my Critical Strike up and went for it.
She advised me in gems, rotation cooldowns and gave me some enchants to help me out.

The next day I decided that I needed to change my ui. Not an easy thing to do as ElvUI had me stumped. After Monknessa talked me through getting it set up, for the best part of two hours and possibly more. I was ready to go. I key bound everything and got it all set up. Later on that night I was invited to flex. This was the first time I had used my new spec and possibly the worst thing I could try it out on. We got through Immerseus relatively easily but the Fallen Protectors were another story. Wipe after wipe as frustrating as it was for everyone I couldnt help but think I was letting them down by not being on top of my game. We did get further and further but it was getting late and we just were running out of steam.

Fast forward a few days and I have moved my spells, practiced at the training dummy furiously and was getting stuff down really easily. On Elites in Timless Isle, Skada was showing my output to be 144k where as in Marksmanship all I would have been able to muster was 100k at best.

Verdie was right!

Fire and Bloody Horde

While we were on the Timeless Isle there was a guild shout for help with a rare, The Archiereus of Flame that had surprised the party members with the amount of adds that popped up.

"We need a raid!" WOO

Three of us had already partaken in the killing of the ghost pirate ship (Not sure how you kill a ship but Blizzard thinks it's possible) and Horde and Alliance worked together in perfect harmony (and by that I mean, we didn't kill each other on purpose)

This one however was the turning point of our delicate truce/friendship.

Vinz summoned the rare. We were working our way around the adds, hoping to clear them all before we took it on. When we were almost to the back of the area, Horde trotted into our freshly cleared entrance and pulled the rare.

[Raid][Rolypoly]: THEY PULLED THE RARE!! THEY PULLED THE RARE!!
[Raid][Rolypoly]: THEY PULLED THE RARE!! THEY PULLED THE RARE!!
[Raid][Rolypoly]: KILL THE HORDE

Who were we to argue with the Guild Master?

It was like a game of rugby, we scrummed for the rare and then started flooring all the Horde who tried to take it from us. Kill Kill Kill Kill. We won the rare back and ploughed through them all, The Horde, for the most part after that, left us alone. The ones that didn't we mercilessly ganged up on. I don't quite know what happened (well, I know what happened to me, I stood in flaming shit on the floor) but when I ressed, the rare had reset. Conversation soon turned to dragging the rare down the slope away from the flame-flinging pains in the arse. I spotted a Horde hiding in a bush (it pays to be a hunter and be able to see everything) "Did you say kill the horde? ;-)" I asked in raid chat.
'SAP' popped up on my screen "fml" was my only utterance in raid chat as I started battling with a god-damn rogue arsehole.

[Raid][Rolypoly]: at the back!

I got out of the sap-stab-stabbity-stab routine by popping my 'Every man for himself' racial, so I could at least get some attacks in myself. Some knoblett netted me and the rogue vanished (I truly hate them, guild rogues excluded ofc) in the (my) confusion of trying inflict pain on the rare and keep an eye on the mini-map I forgot to use my 'flare'. I turned my attention to the rare and keeping out of the shit on the floor.

We took control of the adds that were coming along to play and managed to down them without too much trouble. Always keeping an eye on the Horde that had come along to watch. The fight didnt seem to take that long (pays to have most of RT1 in the group) and he was down. Some people got their Burdens some (including me) got vanity items and a couple got nothing D:

With that done, we went about our business and carried on farming for rep... Oh joy...

Chests on the Timless Isle

So today I decided that I was going to get the chest achievement Extreme Treasure Hunter, which meant that I had to get to my chest nemesis on top of those bloody pillars.

The Gleaming Treasure Chest is the first one you have to get before you can see the rest of them. The pillars have a gap between them that requires you to have a mount (or something similar) to get from one to the other.

I like to ride around on my goat, because it looks stupid and makes an irritating noise (I'm so childish) and when the patch came out I caught a glimpse of the chest on my mini-map so I decided to go and investigate. I watched some others trying it and got the idea of what needed to be done. First attempt, sailed way over the first pillar and crashed, taking out 144k of my health. Second attempt, got onto the pillar and then got pushed off by an exploding trap set by a Horde hunter -.-
On my third attempt I got onto the second pillar and then fell off again trying for the third. By that point I gave up.

I've tried it since on my Celestial Steed and got no further. It may not have helped that I had the buff from the Windfeather Plume but I got to the second pillar and just couldn't get to the third. Fast forwarding to today, I decided to have a look at the Comments on how to get this as I was struggling. It didn't help that everyone was saying it was easy. After reading the comment saying that you need to jump from just behind the middle of each pillar I had a look and thought that I would never make it, Just a little jump from the very edge was getting me into the middle of the next pillar, using their me though would surely mean death? There was also someone who said they used a water strider I was inspired to use my Spectral Gryphon. I'm not sure why I thought that would help, maybe in my head I thought if it had a bigger surface area to land on via the massive paws/claws it would help...

Anyway, I went up, mounted my gryphon and got to the first one. Got to the second one, then fell off. it was more progress than I had made on one attempt before so I went for it again, and ended up on the third pillar. Holy shit, I could actually do this! The fourth pillar seemed to have a smaller surface area, so I lined myself up, with my heart racing as I knew I would be super pissed with myself if I cocked this up,  took aim for the chest and the tree that is behind it. I jumped and crashed into the chest, the loot was mine!

After all of that needless to say I was a little disappointed that there wasn't anything amazing in there. On a side note, after I was trying to jump down without loosing too much health I landed next to the clue for Rolo's Riddle,  which is under the tree next to the smallest pillar.

After that one I went for the Rope Bound Treasure Chest. I'd done the quest for Rolo's Riddle and had seen the chest on my mini map. I was on the ledge near the pool where the waterfall goes into and had spotted all the ropes. I realised that I needed to get to where the broken bridge is, I'd panned my camera around to have a look and decided to see if I could stealth underneath the Cloud Serpent thing that was guarding the lake. Unfortunately I failed to remember that the way the camera is facing is not the way I was going to run and I fell off the cliff -.- Dead....

Second attempt, I didn't bother with the Albatross taxi and just stealthed my way through the mobs until I got to the pillar with the rope tied on it. I stood above it and did a little jump. I landed in a gap between the pillar and the cliff, fuck. I kept jumping but I wasn't going anywhere and the vision of ground many miles beneath my feet made me desperate to get back up. I thought about using my disengage to try and get back up but I didn't want to over shoot the pillar either. I had my vision obscured by Narcissus's (my bear pet) head and had to dismiss him (praying that I wouldn't get attacked as a group of three rares were wandering around as well). I kept jumping up until I managed to get a little bit higher and then I was on the pillar with the rope. There was no one around me so I could take my time thankfully. I put my walk command on and edged out to the rope. I did panic a bit as it was a long way down and also a long way back if I fell off. I went into my interface and toggled on the mouse click to move option. with that I went out onto the rope, It was the longest trip ever. I was inching across, I had zoomed in to make the rope bigger to click on and was then only able to move small distances. When I got to the bit where I needed to get to the lower rope I hoped that just clicking on the rope below me would work. It did (hurrah) and I was down. Continuing this way I got across to the other side, I should have taken a screen shot but I was so preoccupied with not falling off that it completely slipped my mind (I will go back for funzies and get it later). The platform with the chest on was underneath me. I clicked on the pillar and dropped off the rope and next to the chest. Go me!

The last one Mist-Coverd Treasure Chest, involves running all the way back again -.- Stealthed all the way, over the broken bridge to see the Gleaming Crane Statue with a level 92 elite stood within firing range. I edged up until the crane was within clicking distance and got shot into the sky (I might add that after reading the comments for the statue, it pays to have your walk enabled). There were chests everywhere on little platforms, I circled around until I could line myself up with one and landed on it. I know there are people who say they looted loads of chests before the buff wore off but Im not one for trying my luck. I needed this chest and I wasn't going to get greedy and have something go wrong. I clicked, got a few Timless Coins for my troubles and then plummeted to the ground for a bit (terrifying) before my slowfall buff activated and I landed, right in the middle of a bunch of tigers (gahhhhh).

But, I'd done it! I had my achievement, and gz from the guildies who were on. Satisfying but not something I would do again I'm that much of a hurry!

Timeless Isle fun

We have all been having fun on the Isle. There has been a bit of ganking but mostly people have been keeping their faction differences to themselves. I have many times pulled my pet off a Horde member and today had someone do the same to me. Along with the previous instance where myself and a Troll hunter had reached an impass on killing each other and resorted to e-motes to convey our feelings to each other.

Me: /slap

Him: /cry

Me: /hug

Him: /cheer

The one thing I have been doing is killing the elites. First off to get the stones for my quest turn in and also to try and get the Burden of Eternity to drop. I was in a party with Naives as he was killing them for another quest. I'd originally joined to watch him die as he killed a rare (silly rogue, always overdoing it) and then he was picking off mobs. I kept loosing him as he went into stealth, but eventually we completed the quest and finally a burden dropped. I dread to think how many elites we had killed between us, it was the first one I'd ever seen. We rolled need. Naives won. We had decided before the roll, that in future if we were in a group again and came across one then the person who didn't win this roll would have first dibs.

I had almost a full set of timeless gear in my bank, all ready for the burdens. I had made the mistake of opening two of the shoulder items that had dropped for me, they were 496 before upgrading, better than what I had but if I had left them be they could have been 535.

Someone gave out the shout for the Dread Ship. I helped kill it (if you can kill a ship) I died a couple of times and nearly died when it was time to loot but I survived with enough health to claim my prize. Burden of Eternity. Omfg.

Now all I needed was a waist or new shoulders to drop. Luckily, as Marvv, Treehouse, Chizal, Mac and I were grinding for rep for the Emperor when a mail waist dropped. Bingo. I had the burden in my bag and used it on my waist item. Now the best peice of armor I own! Just another hundred needed to see what else I have!We also grouped up and gave it a shot at The Celestials. We took on Niuzao with a team of 20. I can't remember exactly how many healers and dps we had but we did have two tanks (not helpful, I know) Roly, our gm wasn't sure that we would make it but as no one else seemed to be coming forward to help we went in. The advice we had was 'get the fuck out of the way when he charges' and that was it.
We went in and started going for gold. We seemed to be doing really well,  Niuzao charged, we ran away, we survived the stomping that he did. Then there was an announcement on raid chat saying 'If you die, run back' Ok, I thought, I'd only lost a little bit of health and I was able to keep topping it up with my Chimera Shot. Things started to get more drastic when I was loosing more health than I was able to top up, The tanks were being spam healed and that left the dps to get what they could in before they died. We needed to die in waves so there was always one tank and some healers and dps up so we could carry on. At the time I didn't really know what it meant but someone said 'he has a stack of 10, this is going to be impossible'. I had died twice and thought that my armor was going to be knackered if I kept dying. What they were going on about was Oxen Fortitude, and as we had recently lost one tank, the healer were going at it trying to keep him up. I wasn't really looking at his health bar, I was too busy keeping an eye on my focus and my cooldowns, but suddenly he was a shaggy glowing mass on the floor and I had a pop up telling me I had won some shiny new boots. I checked them out and was immediately annoyed/dismayed that they were season 14 PvP boots. I hate PvP, why would Blizzard do this to me!? Still, one down, just another three to tackle.

Another Item that is truly annoying the hell out of me is this Arsehole Activating Device. Glowey red people, FUCK OFF! It's bad enough getting killed by Horde but when your own faction can have a go at you as well, dear lord. I've been stood there trying to do a quest when I'm attacked. Now I don't mind if I can see you and you can see me and you want to have a go, but when I'm stood facing a wall and looking at a map, where is the fun in that. pew-pew-pew-dead. Not exactly skilful. Even I can do that. So now, whenever I'm being attacked I turn my pet onto passive and just stand there. It's quicker and as I know I'm going to die I might as well get it over with. Didn't stop me buying one so I can be just as annoying later on, if the mood takes me...

Council of Elders 10m normal

After the launch of patch 5.4 and having a crack at the new raids in Flex mode, the attention of RT2 turned to the council again.

I'd been with them once before and everything that could go wrong for me did. Every quicksand puddle I ended up trapped in and dying. After five wipes we gave up and last night we reconvened.

They had cleared the first boss so I joined them on their way to Horridon. One thing became very clear, as Marvv pointed out, they trash was dropping very fast.

We waited next to the wall in Horridons room. Monknessa got her noodle cart out (hehehe) danced around with pots and pans and let off some fireworks (can't say we didn't announce our arrival to Horridon) and we briefly went through what to do. Tank face it away, kill adds, dispell stuffs etc. Boss came out, and we started.

After experiencing this as a lfr boss I was surprised how easily this fight seemed. I'm by no means a pro raider but without what seems like hundreds of people running around shooting at anything that moves, it was nice and clean. The adds were dispatched quickly and getting a heads up on team speak for the Dinomancer (still not sure what it does) we worked through everything that was thrown at us.

A hairy moment was when Horridon decided that he was going to charge at me. A massive dino running at you can be pretty scary. The tanks were doing their thing, the dps were doing theirs. Everything was peachy. "Nuke it!!" Came over team speak and upon that we all unleashed fiery hell on it and it dropped.

Horridon 0 - RT2 1 (again)

I would like to point out that getting to these bosses was the worst part of the raid for me. Last time I failed at life with the quicksand. This time I failed at life with bridges. Dear lord every single one I fell off or got bounced off by the bloody ghost witch things. Being catapulted to your death every five seconds is embarrassing and tiresome. Not only for me but also for my raid mates who quickly got the idea that the least painful way was to just summon me to the bosses. At least no one can say it's dull in raids when I'm spectacularly dying every five minutes.

When we eventually made it to the council and after we wiped five times last time we were here I'm not sure if we were expecting anything great from it this time.

We got cracking with it, somehow we almost got Sul down before the first possession started. However it was not meant to be. There was casualties and we wiped it. Marvv was sure that we could do it so on the next try, we went for gold.

Everything went to plan, Sul got his ass whipped. I didn't get stuck in quicksand, I kept attacking to 'blessed kitties' that the Priestess sent out.

"Sul is down! Nice work everybody!"

"Possessed on Kazra"

"Spirit"

"Frost king"

"Ranged on spirit"

Eventually we had Kazra down as well. We did have an oopsy when the tanks were swapping and the Priestess and Frost King ended up next to each other, two or so blessed kitties got to him without us having a chance to kill them but once they were apart (not even as far as the other sides of the room) we went nuts, popping cooldowns (could have had bonus popping if Blizzard hadn't decided to take my 'readiness' away)

"Nuke the Frost King"

"Frost King down, good job, Priestess"

"AND SHE'S DOWN! Nice work everyone, I knew we could do it!"

Noodle Carts!

Today, I met up with Mac and we decided to get our Noodle Carts going.

The quest started with a sign that you find in a pile of rubble on the Timeless Isle and you work your way around the Isle, dungeons and Halfhill.

Unfortunately, I'd already put all the cooking ingredients I didn't think I'd need in the Guild Bank, so Mac needed to come to the rescue and provide the mats for them.
For the first cart you need to cook five of each of the basic level single person foods for each of the ways.
So you need five of each of the basic food (250 stat): Sautéed Carrots, Shrimp Dumplings, Swirling Mist Soup  etc...
For the next cart, five of the next best food (so the 275 foods) like Eternal Blossom Fish
For the last and best cart (which will give your raid the opportunity to buy a stack of five 300 stat boost food) you need to cook five of each of the singular stat foods from each of the ways e.g: Black Pepper Ribs and Shrimp

The quest line takes you into the Temple of the Jade Serpent, where you have to kill the Sha of Doubt. a little scroll is on the side wall, to the left and behind the Sha. The group we were in to do the dungeon, the tank and a dps left,  leaving Mac the healer and two hunters.

I clicked the scroll and this ghost panda came up, I ended up dying at about 25% leaving Mac and the other hunter up. Never the less, the panda-ghost got killed, I finished the quest, hurrah...

The hunter left and Mac whispers "where is the quest? I see a question mark..." after a brief conversation about what her quest was etc, I asked her if she had seen the scroll and I wandered over to it. "OMG NO! Blonde moment! How could I miss that" She read the quest and then we had to brace ourselves. "Omg help me! don't leave!"

This dude is a right royal - noodle chucking, shit on the floor - arse.

I had my bear out (hehehehe) and had it set to growl. Bloody thing was as useless as a chocolate teapot. I couldn't shake the Panda for love nor money. I'd completely forgotten about misdirect and just ran around in a circle like a twat firing off everything I had. I was getting annoyed, I kept running out of focus at the worst possible moment, due to some of my shots costing more focus than they used to, my rotation was out of kilter and this fucking panda wouldn't leave me alone!

Eventually, 'Kill Shot' popped up on my screen, the end was in sight. he was at 20% health and he was going down. As was my health... just before he dropped, I got a Chimera Shot off and salvaged my swiftly depleting health from 8k to 23k. "I'll res you' Mac said after I said "wow". The Boss was in a see-through heap and most of the stuff he had chucked over the floor had gone. "oh, you're still up" she said. Then the inevitable happened. I got bonked on the head by those bloody bowls and dropped like a sack of shit.

We got out and got making out carts, I kept making a cooking fire, Mac helpfully pointed out that there are grills and what-not all over Halfhill. You learn something new everyday! There is another quest step where you need to catch 20 bags of grain being chucked off the top of the grain store near the brewery and then put it into a wagon. We went over, and caught a bag each, went to put it in the wagon that was stood right next to us. Nothing happened. We had no idea what we were supposed to do, we couldn't off-load the rain into this damn thing. "maybe we need to get all 20?" I said. We went back and tried again. We got five of them before we couldn't catch any more. We went back to the wagon, still nothing. Mac looked around "I bet there is a developer somewhere laughing his ass off at this" She said. Mac looked around some more "Oh fuck! It's the wrong cart! It's up on the hill!" Like the big green arrow over it wasn't enough to get our attention *headdesk*

We needed blobs of something from the brew elementals in the Brewery dungeon, it was such a quick run, it helps when you have 5 ample geared level 90's doing it.

Next stop was back at Timless Isle to kill turtles (Mac pointed out that we get to kill all sorts of endangered animals). We killed little ones, big ones and a human eating one. We avoided Horde and didnt die too many times. We had out turtle, had our food and we had our Pandaren Treasure Noodle Cart. YAAAAYYYY!

P.S: Holy hell, thats a lot of mats/food needed for that, Grand Pandaren Banquet may still be a better raid food for me to make, as I will not have many big raids to feed but at least I know how to make it now. Mac is also completely awesome for providing me with what I needed to get this done, It was hella fun getting there and I owe her BIG style!

You can find her full guide here for all the help you need to get this done. (And how to pick the right cart to put it in)

Are you prepared?

A fellow guildie asked her wow followers on twitter if they were ready for the new patch and what they had done to prepare.  Most people had farmed all the things they felt they could possibly need. Probably a good idea. I myself have done shit all. Apart from giving stuff to people who are preparing.

'Why you fool?!' I can hear you shout
Well, rather than having two people half prepared why not have one person fully prepared (obviously make sure that person is someone you know and not a randomer) and then the other person (namely me) can run around like a loon collecting stuff when everyone has worked out what in hells name is going on.

Sounds like a plan to me...

Going on about the new patch, I read the notes, read the comments and watched the trailer. The biggest thing for me was that 1- pandas are cute and 2- do they wear underwear as I want to make one and have it wandering around naked like a teddy bear giving out hugs.

Priorities right there.

Bosses I hate

There are lfr bosses I've been spamming to try and upgrade my two poorest gear items without needing to buy them (hello Shadow-Pan Assault) and one of them is Durumu for my waist item.

I hate that fucking boss with a passion. God only knows how many times I've run it and I've survived ONCE.

The fog is my nemesis and its one boss I will happily die in so I don't have to panic and run around like a loon trying to find the maze. A completely shitty idea in my opinion is to put a dark swirling, moving maze in a dark room. Blizzard said that they improved it for colourblind players... How about improving it for those who can see!?

Half the raid gone by the second appearance of 'The Shitstorm' and anger from everyone involved.

There should be an achievement for surviving it...

Another boss who gets on my tits is Lei Shen... Two words... Lightning Whip. FML.

I've had more success with this boss than Durumu but bloody hell, I still have no idea how to tell which way he's going to chuck that line of raid killer. To be fair I've managed to survive it a few times. Stood there in a puddle of wee as the two glowing lines appear each side of me and heals come in like their going out of fashion.

Tank: 'You're top of the healing chart! Gz!'
Healer: 'yeah, only because the huntard wouldn't get out if the glowing shit on the floor'
(Silver lining to every cloud)

Give me that bird who spits sick at you and then blows you around in it any day if the week. Or the snails... (May be the only person who bloody loves them...)

Dps meter

I've been using recount for a while now. Needed it for lfr on horde side as with them being angry so-and-so's if you weren't pulling enough dps you were yelled at...
WHAT THE FUCK! KICK THE NOOBS
IF YOU CAN'T DPS GET THE FUCK OUT
IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING, LEAVE
and so on.
Pretty much if you weren't on the first page your lfr time was in jeopardy.

When I joined The Royal Jesters and then played back up for them in a 25man Council boss kill I had recount going, I wanted to check how woeful my damage dealing was. It looked poor. We had some of the RT1 players in with us on alts so it probably looked worse than it was. My meter showed that I was doing about 67... I felt poop.

I got a whisper a few days later from Mac, she told me that there was a conversation between her, the RT1 leader and one other of the RT2 members. When she said they were asking who the new hunter was I just thought 'shit, I'm doomed' but then she said that the RT1 leader was impressed as I'd been pulling 90...

I was, well, confused. 'Have they been looking at something else? Recount only showed 67?' Mac then introduced me to Skada. 'It's what RT1 use so it must be more accurate' I downloaded it and went to the training dummies outside the vendors hall in The Shrine, set myself up and pulled out everything I do in raids. Off the bat I was doing 100+, after doing sone targeting pauses etc to try and recreate a raid it settled down to 92. I'm no pro by a long shot but for someone who is strutting around in raid finder gear (two of them from mid range lfr) and a couple of bits of Shadow-Pan Assault items that can't be that bad.

What I don't understand is the near 30 difference between the two counts.

I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth though, if the pro thought it impressive I'm just going to keep Skada and be a tiny bit smug.

Lockouts - what a bitch

Logged on last night and got ninja invited to a group and was summoned to Mogushan Vaults. Waiting around at the stone for the last raid member to arrive. We went charging in and... Lock out... I waited until they found their new dps and then hs back to the golden lantern. Missed out on a raid but did witness shit going down in shrine!

I hate lock outs. Fair enough that its there to protect all the hard work you've put in but would be nice to just be able to go in and for it to tell me I can join the raid but I'll be unable to loot the bosses I've already killed. Bit like lfr.

I'm not really fussed about loot now, considering the new patch is out today but who doesn't like a bit of guild fun and I want the bloody achievement!
